We offer a variety of workshops delivered by skilled artists and makers. For booking call 07856 080517 or email info@studioartdays.co.uk. The workshop space is also available if you would like to deliver a workshop of your own - please contact us for details.
LINOCUT Saturday 13th September, 1.30-5pm £45, with Alison. You will learn the basics of linocut then design and cut an image from which you will make your own unique prints and print 2 greetings cards. You will also take your cut Lino home, ideal for endless printing - I will show you how to do it at home as well with very little equipment. This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 14+ and adults. Maximum 4 places.
SEAGLASS SILVER RING MAKING with Jana - Sunday 21st September and Sunday 2nd November. 10am-1pm £85. Make a beautiful sea glass ring with Jana. You can bring your own sea glass (15mm x 15mm wide x 5mm deep) to see if it is possible to use it, or you can choose from Jana's collection. You will learn to design and make your very own ring, learning all the silversmithing techniques necessary. A £20 deposit is required to secure a place on this workshop. Approx three hours long.

MONOPRINTING with Alison, Thursday August 28th 2-4.30pm £40. Learn this fun and achievable method of printing. During this workshop you will explore various monoprint techniques which will easily transfer to home printing. This workshop is suitable for those aged 14+ and adults. Maximum 4 places.
WATERCOLOUR AND FIZZ with Alison, Thursday 2nd October 7-9pm, £40. We will explore contemporary watercolour techniques and produce a colourful, expressive painting, whilst enjoying a glass or two and nibbles.
BOTANICAL BAS-RELIEF PLASTER WORKSHOP with Jenny Samuels, Saturday 4th October 2-4.30pm £40. You will create beautiful botanical bas-relief pieces, inspired by nature. These will be completed ready for you to take home your stunning plaster relief panel to proudly display.
CHRISTMAS CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP with Bliss Wilson (Spellbound Ink Signs) Saturday 15th November (2pm-4pm) £40/person please (glass of fizz, hot drinks and light refreshments provided). Suitable for beginners and people looking for a refresh in the basics of beautiful lettering. you will practice basic strokes and pressure techniques and explore how to create lettering forms with a special Christmassy theme. Free calligraphy kit and a high quality blank card to take home ( 1 x dip pen, 1 x ink pot, practice sheets, high quality card).
CERAMIC BAUBLE PAINTING WORKSHOP with Bliss Wilson (Spellbound Ink Signs) Saturday 15th November (2pm-4pm) £40/person (hot drinks and light refreshments provided).
Suitable for everyone, no prior painting skill required! Paint and personalise your own ceramic baubles (up to 3 per person). You will be guided through the process of painting and adding detail before personalising your own ceramic baubles. If you’ve heard of the very versatile POSCA pens, this will be an opportunity to test them out and find out more about the kinds of projects they can be used for.
Workshops will take place in the studio with plenty of ventilation. All workshop attendees are asked not to attend any event with any cold symptoms. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided but if your workshop runs over the lunch period, we suggest you bring a packed lunch.
